Uzbekistan Wins Three Medals at World Boxing Cup

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s national team won three medals at the opening stage of the World Boxing Cup, held from April 20 to 26 in Foz do Iguaçu. The competition brought together around 400 athletes from 49 countries competing across multiple weight categories.

The Uzbek team was represented by four boxers. By the end of the tournament, they secured two gold medals and one bronze.

Gold medals were won by Farzona Fozilova in the under-48 kg category and Navbakhor Khamidova in the under-65 kg division. The bronze medal in the super heavyweight category (over 90 kg) was claimed by Jahongir Zokirov.

The results highlight Uzbekistan’s strong performance at the international tournament.
