Narbaeva Discusses Expansion of Uzbekistan–Malaysia Ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Senate Chair of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva held talks with Malaysia’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan Ilhom Tuah bin Illias to discuss the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation.
The discussions noted that active and trust-based political dialogue between the leaders of the two countries in recent years has helped elevate Uzbekistan–Malaysia relations to a qualitatively new level.
Both sides highlighted positive dynamics in cooperation across investment, interregional relations, education, science, innovation, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
Special attention was given to the development of interparliamentary ties. The parties stressed the importance of further strengthening cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries and expanding the activities of friendship groups.
The meeting also addressed the exchange of experience in legislative practice and the strengthening of parliamentary diplomacy as an important tool for developing bilateral relations.
At the conclusion of the talks, both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in further expanding Uzbekistan–Malaysia partnership across a broad range of areas.
