Qanot Sharq Delays Tashkent–New York Launch to September

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s private airline Qanot Sharq has postponed the launch of its direct non-stop Tashkent–New York route to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), Aviation Journal reported.

The new start date for the flight programme is 2 September 2026. The route was previously scheduled to begin on 1 July 2026.

According to updated plans, the long-haul flights will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The westbound flight from Tashkent is scheduled to depart at 11:20, arriving in New York at 15:40 local time. The return flight from JFK will depart at 17:10 and arrive in Tashkent at 14:40 the following day.

The airline plans to operate the transatlantic service using Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft.

Despite the postponement, ticket sales for the route remain unavailable in booking systems.
