Woman Killed After Being Hit by E-Bus in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A woman died in Tashkent on 6 June after being hit by an electric bus operating on route No. 45 between Food City and Kushbegi, the city transport company Toshshahartranskhizmat said, confirming reports that had circulated on social media.
According to the carrier, the incident occurred during the day at the final stop near the Kuyluk market. A Yutong electric bus, while reversing, struck a 35-year-old woman.
The woman died at the scene from her injuries.
The company said the driver was 32 years old and had seven years of overall driving experience.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident, and an inquiry has been launched into the case.
