Uzbekistan, Greece Discuss Migration and Consular Ties

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Greece have discussed cooperation in migration and consular affairs during talks between Deputy Foreign Minister Olimjon Abdullaev and Greek Ambassador to Uzbekistan Paraskivi Tsevelek on 4 June, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The sides discussed the current state of Uzbek–Greek cooperation in consular-legal matters and labor migration, as well as prospects for expanding collaboration in these areas.

Special attention was given to practical cooperation and the improvement of mechanisms in the field of migration and consular services.

According to the ministry, both sides confirmed mutual interest in the consistent development of friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Greece and expressed readiness to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in consular-legal and migration spheres.
