Uzbekistan, Jiangsu deepen investment cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation of Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Ilzat Kasimov held talks with Zhao Yan, Deputy Governor of China’s Jiangsu Province, in Nanjing.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed the current state and prospects for expanding trade and economic cooperation, as well as issues related to deepening investment ties between the regions of Uzbekistan and Jiangsu.

Particular attention was given to the development of industrial cooperation, the establishment of high-tech production facilities, and the promotion of new joint projects involving businesses from both countries. The participants confirmed their mutual interest in intensifying practical collaboration in these areas.

The sides also noted ongoing preparations for a high-level Jiangsu delegation to participate in the Third Uzbek-Chinese Interregional Forum, scheduled to take place on 20–22 May in Xi’an.
