Uzbekistan launches Tashkent–Khiva high-speed train

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan Railways has announced the launch of a new high-speed electric train named “Jaloliddin Manguberdi,” which will operate on the Tashkent–Khiva–Tashkent route.

According to the schedule, departures from the Uzbek capital will take place from Tashkent Central (North) railway station at 07:00, with arrival in Khiva at 14:31.

In the opposite direction, the train will depart from Khiva at 07:20 and arrive in Tashkent at 14:51. Total travel time is approximately 7.5 hours.

The new route will be operated three times a week. Trains from Tashkent to Khiva will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while return services from Khiva to Tashkent are scheduled for Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The first departure from Tashkent is scheduled for 3 May, while the first return journey from Khiva will take place on 4 May.

Tickets are available at railway ticket offices and online via the official e-ticket platform.

At the time of publication, ticket prices start from 780,000 soums, equivalent to approximately US$65.
