Uzbekistan Lifts Limit on Imported Car Certification

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has abolished the restriction that limited the issuance of conformity certificates for imported vehicles intended for personal use to one vehicle per year.

The change is enshrined in a presidential decree titled “On measures to introduce results-based management in the construction sector and simplify public services in the industry.”

The amendment applies to both individuals and legal entities importing vehicles for their own use. Under the previous procedure, conformity certificates could be issued for only one imported vehicle per year.

With the new regulation entering into force, the restriction has been removed. Applicants will now be able to obtain conformity certificates for imported vehicles without an annual limit.

The change is expected to simplify documentation procedures for vehicle imports and expand opportunities for importers purchasing vehicles for personal use.
